Objective：To explore the effect of acupuncture combined with medicine on Alzheimer’s disease patients with depressive symptoms. Methods：60 patients with Alzheimer’s disease complicated with depressive symptoms in our hospital from December 2017 to December 2019 were randomly divided into control group （conventional western medicine treatment） and observation group （acupuncture combined with Kongsheng Zhenzhong Dan modified treatment），and the self rating Depression Scale （SDS），Hamilton Depression Scale （HAMD） and simple mental state assessment MMSE and the total effective rate were compared between the two groups before and after treatment. Results：Compared with the control group，the SDS score and HAMD score of the observation group were significantly lower （P<0.05）；the MMSE score of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group （P<0.05）；the total effective rate of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group （P<0.05）. ideal effect in the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease patients，which can promote the obvious improvement of depression symptoms of patients，so as to improve their mental state，improve the treatment effect，and have a positive effect on improving the prognosis of patients.
