Objective:To study the multiple effects including anti-inflammation, analgesia, facilitation of ulcer healing of Wuwei depileser. Methods: The anti-inflammation effects of Wuwei depileser were observed using the toe swelling model in rats, ear swelling model in mice, and the mouse peritoneal capillary permeability increase model induced by acetic acid. The analgesia effects of Wuwei depileser were observed using hot plate and acetic acid stimulation. The facilitation of ulcer healing of Wuwei depileser were observed using the model of rat perianal ulcers induced by acetic acid. Results:Wuwei depileser has a significant anti-inflammatory effect on toe swelling model in rats and ear swelling model in mice, and inhibits acetic acid-induced increase in permeability of peritoneal capillaries. It also markedly suppresses pain caused by hot plate and acetic acid stimulation, facilitates the healing of perianal ulcers and swelling. Conclusion:These results indicate that Wuwei depileser has multiple effects including anti-inflammation, analgesia, facilitation of ulcer healing.
