Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a neurological disease related to aging, its pathological characteristics are extracellular amyloid β protein (Aβ) deposition, tau protein hyperphosphorylation and synaptic damage, etc., the production of AD greatly affects people's lives and brings huge economic burden to people. Wnt signaling pathway is an important signaling pathway, plays a very important role in neurodegenerative disease Alzheimer's disease, because Wnt signaling pathway is inhibited by a variety of pathogenic mechanisms in the AD brain, so the activation of Wnt signal-related pathway is of great help to the treatment of AD. At present, there are also many traditional Chinese medicine monomers and synthetics that play a role in the treatment and prevention of AD through the Wnt pathway, and this article reviews the correlation, potential therapeutic targets and related effective drugs of Wnt signaling pathway and the treatment of AD.
