Neuroinflammatory response is one of the important pathogenesis of stroke. Neuroinflammation after stroke can cause secondary brain injury, which can further aggravate the inflammatory injury by activating immune cells and releasing pro-inflammatory cytokines. Chemokines and their receptors play a key role in recruiting immune cells to inflammatory sites. At present, they have been widely studied, and chemokine receptors are more attractive drug targets. Recent studies have shown that post-stroke neuroinflammation is more and more closely related to chemokine receptors. This paper reviews the regulatory role of chemokine receptors on post-stroke neuroinflammation,in order to bring new enlightenment for in-depth understanding and effective treatment of stroke.
