Premenstrual dysphoria（PMDD）often occurs in women of appropriate age. The pathogenesis of PMDD is not clear，which results in poor efficacy and serious side effects of clinical drugs. In this paper，the pathogenesis and therapeutic drugs of PMDD in traditional Chinese medicine and modern medicine are reviewed，in order to better promote the treatment of PMDD and related new drug research and development.
