In the preclinical studies,it has shown anti-inflammatory,anti-tumor,antioxidant,decrease blood lipids,neuroprotective effects and other pharmacological effects. In recent domestic and foreign studies focused on pinocembrin neuroprotective effects as well as the ability to attenuate reactive oxygen species,protect the blood-brain barrier,modulate mitochondrial function,and regulate apoptosis. Pinocembrin is a potential drug to treat ischemic stroke and other clinical conditions. In this review,we summarize its pharmacokinetics,mechanisms of action and potential therapeutic applications,in order to provide a reference for pinocembrin mechanisms research and therapeutic applications.
