As TLS can tolerate DNA damages, decrease the sensitivity of cancer cells to chemotherapy drugs or ionizing radiation, it is a potential mechanism for cancers to develop drug resistance or radiation resistance. Therefore, it is plausible to target TLS pathway to enhance the therapeutic effect on patients with different tumors, including glioblastoma.
